In a world where we are all super anxious the creation of CBD products has really helped so many. At first a lot of people were put off but now there is a lot more education into what CBD is and that is helpful and not harmful. For anyone who doesn’t know CBD stand for cannabidiol and has been medically found to reduce inflammation, high blood pressure and also soothe anxiety and stress levels. It helps keep a level of calm. Over the last few years there has been a rise of CBD drinks and recently on a trip to Home Bargains I found Skip.
Skip have a range of CBD drinks that help calm and refresh. They come in three flavours Peach and ginger, lemon and basil and Elderflower and mint. These drinks only cost 99p so are affordable for all to try and a great way to help soothe on long days a great alternative to energy drinks. They contain 5mg of cold pressed CBD which means they are created naturally. They are gluten free and vegan friendly. They also contain no added sugar too.
How do they taste?
They are suggested to be best served cold so we chilled them in the fridge and then first we tried the Peach and ginger. If you’re not a fan of ginger then this one won’t be for you! It’s very refreshing and heavy on the ginger flavour which for me as a ginger lover is great. The peach flavouring is very delicate but compliments the ginger well. They are very effervescent I love the fizz it gives the drink a more premium feel.
Next the lemon and basil as soon as you open it the basil is really strong. This one is definitely an acquired taste, I loved it the mr hated it and said it was like drinking a spaghetti meal. It defiantly has a savoury feel with a sweet kick. The lemon is stronger than the peach for sure and this is a great sipping drink and would pair lovely with some gin.
That last flavour is Elderflower and mint and this has proved that the second flavour seems to be the key flavour. I would have liked to see this slipped on all of them but still really enjoyed them all. I think with the dominant flavour being the mint, basil, & ginger these are a great mixer of drink alternative so if you usually wind down in the evening with a wine this is a great alternative.
Does the CBD work?
I think does as I have taken gummies in the past and this has a similar effect but remember it is only 5mg but is a great way to take the edge off or even see what you think of CBD.
Would I buy them again?
Yes absolutely for the price point they are so cheap compared to other CBD drinks. A great addition to the fridge for a booze alternative.
