Lindy Bop Emmy Dress Plus Size Review #psootd

You may remember a haul I did a few months back where I bought a few Lindy Bop dresses in their fabulous sale. Now the sun is shining a little more I am finally getting the chance to wear them. When I popped to the Body Shop Relaunch I pulled out the Emmy dress and went for a Minnie Disney bound style outfit. Everyone loves Minnie mouse and who wouldn't she has awesome taste in dresses and a classic polka dot can never go wrong/ The Emmy dress takes this inspiration and steps it up a notch.

I love a good peter pan style collar on any dress but on this dress it is just perfection. The white pops against the back bust and really adds that cute appeal it is touches like this that really make the dress along with the little white bow belt across the waist, The white matches the polka dots and keeps the dress light and bright. Make up just had to be a red lip with this and I went with Clinque's colour pop red. 

I found Emmy to be true to size and actually fit me perfectly. I am glad that Lindy Bop have worked on their sizing as when I bought three dresses in this haul one was far too small , one just right and one too big! I was informed though that they have become a lot more reliable. This dress has a zip fasten in the back and doesn't have any stretch so make sure you get this in a size you feel comfortable in. I have washed the dress a number of times now and it washes really well, I was a little worried that the colour would run into the white but it has stayed perfect and looks just as vibrant as when I first bought it, The skirt is really full and has plenty of room to have a killer petticoat underneath to dress up for more of a night out look. Lindy bop has lots of different colours this would look fantastic with a red or black one. 

I teamed the dress with an adorable Mickey Mouse bag I had for Christmas but ti really finish the look off I want to pick up a cute pair of yellow flats so if you see any then let me know! I love the Mickey bag so much it is adorable and holds just enough for when you don't want to lug a handbag around all day which was just perfect for nipping around a blogging event.
