Pickled Onion Monster Munch Mayonnaise…does it work?

I have to admit I am a bit late to the party with this scary themed item. We all have a favourite monster munch flavour and for me it has always been without a doubt  pickled onion. I adore that tangy tasty snack that leaves you smacking your lips. So when I saw that Heinz had collaborated with Monster munch and brought out a mayo together I had to try it! This is a limited edition flavour mainly produced for Halloween so if you see it you need to grab it quick because Pickled onion monster munch mayo what is not to love? I already was imagining this on a cheese sandwich with pickled onions on the side to snack on.

My expectations were that it would be super vinegary and a bit of a flop but I was surprised to find the opposite. The flavours of this mayo are not too strong but the pickled onion monster munch is definitely there without compromising the creamy taste we all love. For me it reminds me of Japanese mayo (such as Kewpie mayonnaise) which is slightly tangier than normal mayo and just has such a delicious taste. This is vegetarian friendly and the best thing is that they used no artificial flavourings in the making. So no nasty chemical after taste, just yummy flavours.

Over the last few weeks I have tried this as a dipping sauce and on sandwiches and it just elevated the dish. I was actually surprised how well this went with chips, cheese butties, on salad as a dressing, honestly I just kind of on everything and anything.

I personally would love to see this as a regular run and not just limited edition and am now going to have to run out and buy as many as I can find.
