We Tried The Marmite Pizza From Marks and Spencer….will you?

In Britain we are very passionate about one thing and fall into one side of the argument. What’s the argument? Do you love or hate marmite? Personally for me I always thought I was in the hate category but did you know as we grow our taste buds change too! Just think of all the things you didn't like as a kid but love now ….like broccoli or olives. If you’re in the hate category then I implore you to go against the grain and give it another try! I did and suddenly realised it’s actually pretty yummy!

So for a change when I saw that M&S had dropped a Marmite range I was actually super excited. If you love Marmite you need to get yourself down there because there is a whole host of products from cheese bakes, pinwheels, cheese clouds, crumpets and more. There was one stand out product for me though and that was the Marmite three cheese pizza.

We love a statement pizza in our house like white sauce pizzas. Who am I kidding? We just love pizza and with this pizza having a bechamel marmite sauce on a woodfire base and topped with mozzarella, red lecister and cheddar. Tell me your mouth isn’t already watering? It looks and sounds delicious.

As it was cooking it smelled so nostalgic like cheese on toast on a cold morning. All that aside, what you really want to know is how it tasted! It’s a step up from marmite and cheese on toast but if you’re a hardcore marmite lover who loves to lather it on then you may be disappointed by the subtle flavours. I thought it was a great amount but dare I say they could have gone bolder. At £6 it’s not a bad deal.

As a novelty pizza it definitely jumps out of that category to be a pizza we would pick up again.

Have you tried any of the Marmite range?
