Tried and tested find Birmingham dates

 Hey Cupid,

Having lived in Birmingham most of my life (before I moved to Derbyshire), I have the inside scoop of fun places to go on dates in Birmingham. When I met my boo I got to show him all the fun sites of Birmingham. Me and the Mr still like to relive our early dating in Brum whenever we visit. I want to share some of our favourite places to go.

Ort cafe

Ort is so much more than just a cafe, like sure you can go for a cute coffee date there in the day but in the evening it hosts a wealth of art events. You can take your date to a spot of spoken word or one of my all time favourite gigs was at ort seeing the amazing Ben Caplan. It’s a fun intimate venue and really relaxed and welcoming. You get to support an independent business while impressing your crush.

Museum

It’s no stranger to this blog that I adore all the museums and not to forget the library in Birmingham. Birmingham dating just wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t shout from the rooftops how much fun it is to explore Birmingham museum, Ikon or the science museum or a special trip to the library! There are constantly new things to see in all of them so even if you strike out on the Birmingham dating site and go on several dates you can keep up to date with some amazing art.

Digbeth dining club

I am a huge fan of digbeth in general. On your walk to the Digbeth dining club I recommend having a walk about to check out the amazingly talented street artists. Digbeth dining club is food truck heaven. A wealth of amazing independent food businesses come together and you can buy lots of amazing food and drink all in one place. If you’re a huge foodie like me and my love this is the place to be. You can relax and bond over amazing fusions sweet and savoury.

Canal exploring

Birmingham honestly has more canals than Venice and if you haven’t got the coin for Venice then baby recreate it in Brum. Get yourself and your date on a canal boat trip. It may not be as glam but it’s still lots of fun. You can hire canal boats or visit the cafe on a boat that takes you on a little trip. If the boats aren’t your thing, taking a walk along the canal can be a great time to bond with your date and there are some great bars along the way.

Electric cinema

One of the oldest cinemas in the U.K. is not only keeping history alive but hosts amazing films with cocktail service! I would love to get married at the Electric cinema. It's honestly one of my favourite places to spend time. If your date is a film geek this is definitely the place to go. They host old and new films alike as well as film events.

Have you been to any great places in Birmingham?
