What is the future of blogging?

Hey Cats,

I can't believe it has been 5 years since I first started blogging and man has it changed over the years. I started a blog to write about the things I loved and to try and push me to write more and explore new things. One of my first posts was about how I left my heart in Berlin. It is so nice to be able to look back at some of the kick ass times I have had along the way. Blogging has become so much more than people sitting in front of a computer chatting about their fave lippy. It has been a community that all stood together and then split into so many cool little groups and now it isn't just a small community it has become huge!

Blogging is so much more than just writing though. I have learnt about web design, a little bit of coding, pr skills, networking face to face and online, putting pitches together and so much more without even realising it. The more blogging progresses the more I learn or am eager to jump into. I would love to understand more about coding so I can mess around with my page more often and maybe even help others.

Blogs are a fantastic place for anyone to gain new skills and become work ready and maybe even find a new career path. A huge amount of bloggers have changed their career becoming PR reps or even social media managers. It is actually few and far between that have become full time bloggers who just get money from their own blog. There is so much more going on in the background that you don't even realise. Earning as a blogger is about having many different ways of earning an income it isn't all glamour. Even your massive You Tube stars like Zoella had to start at the bottom and work hard promoting themselves.

However these days it does seem that everyone and anyone is a blogger and the community has become less supportive day by day accusing each other of stealing post ideas or even flat lays and to me that is so heartbreaking. The community wasn't a mean girls world to begin with and in the right circles there are still hundreds maybe even thousands of amazing supportive bloggers and you tubers who will help each other out. For me those people are the future of blogging.

With technology always changing the future for this self expression will always be adapting and changing. The future I want for blogging is a strong supportive community who uplift each other. To me blogging is like having a fanzine it means anyone should be able to speak their mind and have their own little piece of the internet and this doesn't make your space any less worthy.  The Innovation company asked me what I want as the future of blogging. I want teenagers to grandmas to be able to get online and share the things they love from baking to making making money to yes your fave lippy. So lets stop the hate and join groups like UK Bloggers and Plus bloggers and all the little communities that still want to help newbies and experienced bloggers have their own little or huge successes.

I want to celebrate all your awesomeness.  let me know what you want the future of blogging to be?
