Come Shopping with me - Books In TKmaxx

I have a confession …. I have been going to Tkmaxx for years and didn’t even know they had a book section! It wasn’t until I was watching TikTok and saw someone haul some books from Tkmaxx that I decided next time I went to check out Halloween homeware I would be all over the book section. I went to the Tkmaxx in chesterfield which is a fairly small branch but was happy to find they had two bays of books

I was pleased to see a good variety, mainly classics but some really pretty editions. The first book that caught my eye was this stunning cover of the classic ‘Alice’s adventures in wonderland’. A stunning hardback with vintage style illustration.

I have never read Wuthering heights but this embossed cover with eye-catching green detailing makes me want to more. There were a selection of books with this style covering like this jungle book one. They have a real regal look to them and a pretty addition to any book shelf. A great way to replace those classics you already own or an even better excuse to read the ones you haven’t.

Another classics collection that I wish I had picked up was the Jane Eyre and Jane Austin collections. Both have wrote amazing books of which I’m a big fan. The foiling on the Jane Eyre collection is sublime and the floral printing on the Jane Austin is very fitting and luxurious.

I adored the cover for this copy of Edgar Allen Poe poems. The raven is one of his most popular works and ravens are a beautiful bird and a spectacular addition to this red background.

There were a section of silly and funny books like this little book of Taylor great for any Taylor fan. There was also dome parody books the one that made me laugh was ‘The very hungover caterpillar’ a great pick for upcoming secret Santa or joke gifts.

I was very tempted to buy some of the fantasy offerings with ‘The Priory of the Orange tree’ and Sarah J Mass ‘House of Earth and Blood’. These weren’t too bad at £5.99. These both have been on my wishlist for a while but I have to read through some more books before I can buy anymore.

There wasn’t a lot for horror but with all classics there’s always a horror story. You can’t go wrong with ‘Frankenstein’ a fun and funky cover for this copy. If you haven’t read it yet I urge you to you won’t be disappointed. I also love HP Lovecraft and when you read these you will find he is the inspiration still to this day for many horror lovers. This is a great collection and a reasonable price too!

There were some other modern popular books like ‘strange sally diamond’ but I didn’t think this was much of a steal when Asda and Tesco were doing it for £5.

In all there was a great selection of classics and nonfiction. There were a ton of cookery books too if that’s your thing. I would love to go to a bigger TK Maxx to see what they have on offer. There was a wide selection of books on reiki and crystals too. Some books are available on the website I seen a great addition of Dracula on there so while you’re on the look for Halloween goodies have a peep at books too!

Did you know Tk Maxx did books?
