Dubai: A Grrrl's Guide To A Great Time

Hey Cats,

Okay, so you’ve packed your best summer dress and your factor 50, and you’re off on an adventure to the United Arab Emirates (fancy). You’ll want to know all the best places to eat, drink, and have a merry vacation for you and your co-travellers to put on your itinerary. The following are some great spots to visit and some ideas of what to see when you arrive in the forever sunny Dubai.

Desert Delights

So you’ve got your sunhat, your shades, your summer staples, and your camera; now it’s time to hop on a camel and discover what Dubai is really made of (which is actually desert and a lot of sand). Aside from the luxury shopping malls and gigantic hotels; Dubai has beautiful sand dunes to travel through, and you’ll be able to capture some great moments with your desert guides.

If camels aren’t your thing; book yourself onto a desert safari, where you’ll be able to whizz around the sandy surfaces in a Jeep, which is an exhilarating experience, to say the least. Most desert safaris end with watching the sunset, before heading to a traditional Arabian camp, where you can fill up on a feast (maybe even a barbecued version of that camel we talked about earlier) and enjoy the atmosphere. You can see what a Dubai safari tour can offer you and your companions, and decide if it’s something you’d like to do as part of your Arabian adventure.

Breakfast, Brunch, Dinner: They’re A Winner!

You will not be short of options when it comes to indulging in food and drink on your Dubai getaway; there’s something for every budget, taste, and appetite, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. You could check out some great Dubai restaurant offers and book yourself a table at the Burj Khalifa's Atmosphere restaurant or sample some delicious treats at Vesna, with a spot of karaoke.

Whatever your taste in cuisine is; Dubai will `have something for you, so it’s worth researching the best places to grab a bite to eat before you head off on your vacation, and even booking in advance, online. For cocktails with a view; head towards 360-degrees, the pier-based bar in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and sample the delicious selection of fruity refreshments. There really is an endless supply of food and drinks in Dubai, so it’s worth planning ahead to ensure you get a taste of everything you want to when you’re there.

Shop ‘Til You Drop (Then Shop Some More)

It’s no secret that the world’s wealthiest visit Dubai regularly, so it makes sense that there’s a mall filled with designer labels and brands to break your bank account. However, there’s also plenty of shopping options for non-millionaires too. The Dubai Mall is the biggest in the world, and it’s worth a trip there to experience the size, aquariums (yep), and fountains alone.

Alongside Chanel and Prada, you’ll also find independent Arabian brand and shops where you can pick up something special for yourself or for a loved one (so your credit card can breathe a sigh of relief).
