My Mad Fat Diary #madfatdiary

Another series over :(
When I originally saw the adverts for this show back when it first come out I though it wouldn't be my kind of thing it looked like it would be a more grown up bratty Tracy Beaker kind of show so I avoided it for some time. I couldn't have been more wrong. The more I saw adverts and the more I saw twitter I realised I at least had to give it a try. I am soooo glad I did. I watched the first series in one sitting. Lucky for me the next one started the next day.
What I love about this show is that it is just so open and honest. Getting inside the head of a plus sized girl who suffers from mental illness is something so many girls around the world will find something to relate to. Rae played by the beautiful Sharon Rooney struggles through secondary school (High school to you yanks) and college with her own worst enemy being herself. Sound familiar? I know it did to me. So much of this show rang so true and had my eyes welling up in every episode without fail.

Even with the multi dimensional Rae appealing to so many of us if you don't relate to her then you will definitely find one of the gang who will pull at your emotions. So many important issues are tackled in this show and because the characterisation is so good you genuinely care what happens to each and every character. You only need to check out the #madfatdiary on twitter to see the excitement this programme generates but if you haven't watched it yet be careful or you will find lots of spoilers.

If you follow me on twitter (if you don't damn you better change that @kellykaos) then you would have already seen I have been swooning like crazy over Finn. Can I just keep him please? This is the kind of guy every woman needs in her life. Caring, non judgemental, fun and damn hot. Please world send me my Finn.

So if you haven't watched it yet be quick you can still catch it on E4 both series and make sure you come back and let me know what you think! I guarantee it will have you laughing and sobbing.
